Art Your Pets Want You To Make is the inaugural project from the artist collective R.A.D.S. (Rat Bedlington, Ally Russel-Floyd, Deanna Wawn, and Sivaan Walker). Each artist responds individually to the theme, creating works that together form a multi-disciplinary dialogue spanning metalwork, jewellery, textiles, costume design, sculpture, sound, video, painting, drawing, and performance.
At the centre are the collective’s pets—Corndog, Milo, Charlie, Angus, and Chipolata Immaculata—some participating as collaborators.
Rat Bedlington creates paintings in colours visible to their dog, Chip, and includes scent elements, also considering feline perception for Corndog.
Sivaan Walker interrogates pet–owner power dynamics, exploring pet-inclusive creative spaces and asking if pets could be considered part of the proletariat.
Ally Russel-Floyd stages a textile-based allegory of domestic life, inspired by the evolving relationship between cats Corndog and Milo.
Deanna Wawn documents uncanny overlaps between human and canine behaviours, compiling moments when her dogs, Charlie and Angus, blur the line between the familiar and the animal.
Together, the works explore interspecies relationships, sensory experiences beyond human perception, and the shared spaces where humans and animals coexist.
